Hasbik: a video blogger who won the hearts of Runet
Hasbulla Magomedovich Magomedov, known under the pseudonym Hasbik, is a Russian video blogger who became known for his dwarfism and viral videos on the Runet.
How old is Hasbik?
He was born on July 7, 2002 in Makhachkala, now he is 20 years old. Magomedov’s parents come from the indigenous Dagestan people, the Dargins. At the age of 5, he was diagnosed with a genetic anomaly causing hormonal imbalances and growth problems.
Hasbik’s Growth
Hasbik is currently 93 cm tall and weighs 19 kg. He claims that doctors were unable to determine his diagnosis.
Hasbik first gained popularity with a viral video of him eating strawberries and commenting on it with the words “Strawberries are the bomb, to be honest“. After that, Askhab Tamaev, the organizer of pop mma tournaments, drew attention to him and invited him to participate in his videos. A series of entertaining videos with Magomedov was published on Tamaev’s channel, which became popular on YouTube video hosting.

The conflict with the fight against the Tajik singer Abdurozik brought even more popularity to Hasbik. As of November 2022, the pop fighters’ press conference video has over 17 million views. In the summer of 2021, Magomedov and Tamaev ended their cooperation due to financial and personal disagreements.
Hasbik in UFC
In September 2022, Hasbik became the guest of honor for the UFC promotion and signed a five-year contract with the organization to cover events.
In December 2022, EA Sports, which develops and publishes video games, announced that Hasbik will be included in the UFC 4 game, in which he can become a character and take part in virtual fights.
However, success and popularity inevitably lead to a number of problems. Hasbik has been repeatedly criticized and accused of spreading violence and hatred. In 2022, he was forced to apologize for his tweet, in which he used words that were regarded as offensive to the Armenian nationality.
